Wellness Encounters – Therapeutic nature walks, qigong – Quarryhill Botanical Garden

$15.00On May 19 and 26, registered yoga and qigong teacher Julie Cade and Christine Collins, Msc OT, will lead a series of therapeutic nature walks at Quarryhill Botanical Garden in Glen Ellen. In the Japanese spirit of “forest bathing” (shinrin-yoku), emphasis will be on savoring the sensory experience of being in, and a part of, nature. Each walk combines guided mindful walks with gentle warm-up movements of qigong and yoga. Walks begin at 9 a.m. Cost is $15. No prior experience of qigong or yoga, nor any equipment, is needed. Participants should wear layers, comfortable clothes, and walking shoes. Call 228-5765 or email wejulie@wellnessencounters.com to sign up or for more information.
Cade and Collins will also be leading a five-week nature walk and qigong series in Glen Ellen starting on June 2. These Thursday morning walks leave from the Glen Ellen Village Market at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $15 per week or $60 for the whole series. Call 228-5765 or emailwejulie@wellnessencounters.com to sign up.
